London has a new rooftop restaurant incoming. 14 Hills will be the 14th-floor restaurant on the new City development, 120 Fenchurch Street. It’s not quite the top of the building – that’s being taken over by an open-to-the-public sky garden, but it’ll certainly have pretty amazing views over London.
The modern British restaurant will serve an all-day menu with Thomas Piat running the kitchen. Piat arrives here having been the Executive Chef at Daniel Boulud’s Bar Boulud at the Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge and, most recently, at JOÍA par Hélène Darroze in Paris. He’s promising a place that will be great for business breakfasts and lunches – they’ll also have a fast serve deli counter if you need to grab something quickly. At weekends they’ll be focusing on a non-City crowd looking for a restaurant with a cracking view, with brunch and Sunday lunch planned.
This weekend England face South Africa in the Rugby World Cup Final in Japan. Held at the International Stadium Yokohama, Yokohama, Japan on Saturday 2nd November, local time 6pm and on UK screens at 9am. Should England be triumph it will be their first World Cup win since 2003! The sporting world is abuzz with predictions and Rugby fever is at an all-time high so make sure you are part of the action.

The long dining tables will be dressed as they were for seasonal feasts at Hogwarts, complete with Christmas puddings surrounded by real flames. Discover the stage decorated as it was for the iconic Yule Ball scene, as seen in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and get a taster of this incredible set dress featuring snow-covered Christmas trees, icicles and an orchestra of magical instruments.
Discover how filmmakers created snow that never melts and flames without fire as you get hands on with the different types of filmmaking ‘snow’, each selected for its ability to float like falling snow, crunch under foot or glisten in the light like ice. As you make your way around the Studio Tour, look out for the ‘lit’ fireplaces and discover how fire was created on-screen by the Special Effects team using a combination of water vapour and lighting effects.
